The No Place Project

Between 1850 and 1910 there were hundreds of incidents of mob and group violence against Chinese immigrants in western North America.  Since 2008 I've been researching both the stories of the events and the exact locations where some of them took place.

 

This map shows the major sites I've been able to document so far. I'll continue to add sites whenever I am able to connect an historical event with a specific location as it appears now.

 

Note: City locations on this map are approximate. Some of the distances between cities have been exaggerated in order to prevent overlapping names.
